The food is excellent and the location is nice. There was a new girl taking orders and basically screwed everyone's up. We waited 45 mins and I finally went to ask. They had just been sitting in a warmer. Also, our order was wrong on top of it. Delicious, but the staff needs to help the new employee better. As I type this there's a huge line due to it taking her 5 solid minutes to just input the order, incorrectly at that.

Super delicious! Especially liked the shrimp tacos and carne asada burrito supreme. I like the landscaping in the corner.

This is a hole-in-the-wall with covered outdoor seating. We waited about 30 minutes for our burrito & taco order (it was Saturday and the marina was busy). Food was quite good once we finally got it. No alcohol is available.

We eat a lot of Mexican food and are often disappointed. La Playa was amazing. The staff made our food as though they were going to eat it. There's love in the food. The service, even though they were busy, was excellent. Generally, we order to go, but the costal outdoor seating gave this restaurant an excellent vibe and completely different from other establishments. If we could, we would eat here all the time.

Truly disappointing visit. It was, unfortunately, a significant letdown, especially after a long drive from the Bay Area. While I understand that popular spots can get busy, the experience here felt less like a busy rush and more like sheer disorganization and neglect. (Was not busy when we arrived) We placed an order for steak tacos and the no-meat "Mexican" nachos, and then the waiting game began. What should have been a relatively quick turnaround for such dishes stretched into 40+ minute wait. To add insult to injury, we couldn't even get our drinks in that time. When I finally went to inquire about our order, hoping at least to grab our beverages, the person at the window inexplicably set off our pager while I was still standing in line. It quickly became clear why: our food was already sitting in the warmer, having been ready for an unknown amount of time. After waiting over 40 minutes, it's truly baffling and frustrating to know the food was simply waiting to be picked up, rather than being delivered promptly. The "no-meat" nachos, priced at $10, were particularly disappointing. They simply weren't worth the cost, lacking in both substance and flavor, further contributing to the overall sense of being ripped off. What made the experience even more galling was observing other patrons, particularly those who appeared to be yt receiving their orders with seemingly much greater efficiency. It felt like a stark contrast to our prolonged wait and the general lack of attention we received. Ultimately, after a long drive, this taqueria visit left me feeling thoroughly tired and profoundly disappointed. The long wait, the cold food, and the feeling of being overlooked made for a truly regrettable dining experience.

It is a take out/outdoor seating .. so be ready for that. Their food and servings are awesome! My favorite was the carne asada burrito supreme. The habanero salsa is great, but can have consequences. Great food, staff was friendly. I will definitely visit next time I'm in area.

The food takes a while to come out but it is so worth the wait. The fish tacos are absolutely to die for and there are a lot of other options if you don't like tacos. It's really reasonably priced for the coast as well.
